Children’s Dentistry

Childrens dentistryOur dentists recognise the importance in building positive early experiences in the dental setting.

We advise parents to introduce their child to professional dental care between the age of 2 – 3. This process may include watching a parent have a dental examination or cleaning, or having their own baby teeth counted and gently polished.

Having a bad experience at the dentist at a young age can often cause fear of dental care in later years. Therefore instilling positive experiences allows your child to grow with little or no anxiety about preventative oral care.

Our experienced team also care for children that are already anxious with calming techniques, patience and a soft approach. In certain cases of highly anxious children or children with special needs we might also recommended sedation or treatment to be performed under general anaesthetic.
