Preventive Dental Care

Preventive care is a main focus of our dental practice. We recommend regular dental examinations (between 6 to 12 monthly visits) to ensure that any issues are diagnosed and treated before they become a bigger problem.

Children’s Dentistry

We advise parents to introduce their child to professional dental care between the age of 2 – 3. This process may include watching a parent have a dental examination or cleaning, or having their own baby teeth counted and gently polished.

Tooth Whitening

Modern tooth whitening procedures are simple, effective and affordable. Our dentists will take impressions of your upper and lower teeth and make custom-fitted trays that are worn over your teeth. Our dentists will then provide you with a mild bleaching gel.

Oral Surgery

Wisdom teeth (third molars) usually erupt through the gums of people in their late teens or early twenties. Often wisdom teeth become wedged or “impacted” when there is limited space for normal eruption and they can remain partially or fully below the gums.

Root Canal Treatment

Endodontic treatment (root canal treatment) may be recommended by your dentist to preserve a tooth that has:
• Large decay or breakdown of filling / crown
• Been heavily restored
• Extreme wear of dental tissue
• A traumatic dental injury

Restorative And Cosmetic Dentistry

Dental Implants are another way to replace one or more missing teeth. The implant is firstly inserted into the jawbone by a specialist periodontist or oral surgeon. A crown is then attached to the implant to mimic the look and function of a real tooth.

Specialist Referrals

Craig and Nice Dental is an established practice and we have developed excellent relationships with a team of dental specialists including – endodontists, orthodontists, oral medicine and oral pathologists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists and prosthodontists.

Emergency Dental Care

In an accident situation we do not expect you to call and book, just come to the clinic as soon as you are able to. If a tooth has been knocked out, time is a high priority. Rinse the tooth gently in water, handling it as little as possible, then either reinsert into the cavity or store in milk until you can get to our practice.

Sedation Dentistry

For some people, visiting the dentist can be a very stressful experience and often causes fear and avoidance of dental care, resulting in a patient’s dental health suffering. Our caring dentists will discuss the options available to overcome your fears depending on the required treatment and your anxiety levels.

Removable Dentures

Dentures are removable appliances that are able to replace a section of teeth or an entire arch (upper or lower). They are either constructed from an acrylic or a chrome-cobalt base. Dentures are non-invasive and so are painless to fit. You and your dentist will work closely with a dental prosthetist in the construction and maintenance of your dentures.
